Mitrano's 25 YearsIt’s hard to believe that it’s been almost a quarter of a century since we first opened our doors, but it’s true. We’re now at the halfway mark of our 25th year in business and it seems like it was just last week when we did our first trash pick-up.

As a family owned and operated waste removal business serving Central MA to Boston, we’ve grown from a small, three-person operation in 1992 to the area’s leading solid waste removal and recycling operation with a fleet of vehicles and 17 hard-working team members, including a terrific administrative and management staff that keeps the company running smoothly as well as the drivers and operators who provide top-notch, dependable service to all our customers.

Over the past two-and-a-half decades we’ve quadrupled in size, expanding our services to include residential, commercial, and industrial trash pick-up, open top and frontload container rentals, and a wide range of waste removal and recycling programs designed to save our customers time, effort and money.

In fact, we’re helping spearhead the region’s recycling efforts. Since the day we started this business we’ve been committed to reducing the landfill-bound waste stream and moving as much of it as possible into recycling. We utilize the services of state-of-the-art recycling facilities to process a wide range of previously-difficult-to-recycle products such as asphalt shingles, concrete, construction waste, and demolition debris. Those materials, including conventional paper and organic matter are hauled to the appropriate recycling facilities where they are all processed and introduced back into active use, helping to minimize the consumption of new, raw materials and significantly reducing the volume of waste going into our rapidly-filling landfills.

So the next time you see one of our friendly drivers or speak with one of our helpful employees on the phone, be sure to wish them a happy 25th birthday – it’ll certainly put a smile on the face of those who might be just a little bit older than that.
